Discussion Questions

1. Share a time when you found out that something you thought you were good at or competent in turned out to not be the case.

2. Can you relate to times or seasons of life when you thought that your faith was stronger or more unwavering than it actually was? Share what led to your faith being tested.

3. Comfortability and confidence were given as culprits for "neglected dependence." How do your devotional practices reflect your level of dependence on the Lord and His work?

4. When we have "financial stability, familial stability, and societal stability" it can be easy to not need to depend on God. When that is the case, our time in Word and prayer becomes a "have to" rather a "need to." Can you relate to this as Americans in our context? Share more.

5. How do you naturally tend to respond to sin and failure in your life?

6. Respond to which gospel truth from this message most resonated with your soul and brings comfort to the way you answered question 5.

7. Pray for rest over one another in the peace of the gospel.
